Rep. Takano Announces $3.8 Million in Water Related Community Funding in CA-39

A Part of $12.8 Million in Total FY '24 Community Project Funding to CA-39

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Mark Takano (D-Calif.) released the following statement on four water infrastructure community funding projects included in the FY 24 appropriations process.

“The investment in Riverside County’s water infrastructure will make our community more drought resistant and sustainable in the face of raising temperatures,” said Rep. Takano. “Californians know how precious this resource is, so I am happy to announce funding to alleviate concerns on scarcity. I am proud to announce the funding of these projects and congratulate the recipients on their successful application.”

The four projects selected are:

$959,752 forRiverside Public Utilities PFAS Treatment Project

$959,752 for Eastern Municipal Water District’sCactus II Feeder Phase 2 Project

$959,752 for Eastern Municipal Water District’sPurified Water Replenishment Project

$959,752forWestern Municipal Water District’s Water Infrastructure Backflow Upgrades to Prevent Drinking Water Contamination
